AFRY Strengthens Its Position in Project and Construction Management with Acquisition of XPRO

AFRY, the leading professional environment within project and construction management in Norway, has announced the acquisition of XPRO, a project development and management company with a leading position in the Northwest of Norway. The acquisition is set to strengthen AFRY’s position and capacity within project and construction management, paving the way for further development of new and existing offerings regionally and nationally.

XPRO’s Leading Position in Project Development and Management

XPRO has earned the trust of clients to lead the execution of many of the largest and most complex projects in the Northwest of Norway. With 40 experienced employees and offices in Molde, Ålesund, and Kristiansund, XPRO has a leading position in project development and project management in the region. In addition, XPRO delivers independent verification services to clients across Norway.

Advansia and XPRO Complement Each Other Well

Advansia, part of AFRY and Norway’s largest professional environment within project and construction management, is set to benefit from the acquisition of XPRO. With 500 employees, Advansia leads major hospital, airport, and cultural construction projects across the country. Vegard Storvik, CEO of XPRO, stated that “Advansia and XPRO complement each other really well. We have the same commitment to delivering high-quality projects and we both have a culture that focuses on a professional environment and sharing of expertise. Together, we are well-equipped to develop new and existing offerings.”

Increased Offerings and Capacity for Clients and Employees

The acquisition of XPRO will increase AFRY’s offerings and capacity, benefiting both their clients and employees. With regional offices in each part of Norway, AFRY is set up to be a significant partner across the country. There is a high level of activity in the Northwest of Norway, and plans for larger investments within urban development and the industry and energy sector in the coming years.

Consolidation of XPRO in AFRY

XPRO works with both public and private clients and has an annual turnover of around NOK 70 million. XPRO is planned to be consolidated in AFRY in July 2023. Christopher Klepsland, Country Manager Norway at AFRY and CEO of Advansia, stated that “together with XPRO, we increase our offerings and capacity, benefiting both our clients and employees.”
