Beijer Electronics Group Appoints Lena Westerholm as Group Head of Sustainability

Beijer Electronics Group AB has announced the appointment of Lena Westerholm as the Group Head of Sustainability, effective from May 22, 2023. The position has been newly established at the group level to enhance the focus and competence in sustainability.

Who is Lena Westerholm?

Westerholm is a sustainability expert who has previously worked as the Sustainability Manager for ABB Sweden and Global Sustainability Manager for the business area Robotics and Discrete Automation ABB Ltd. She brings with her over 23 years of experience in the ABB Group in various sustainability and business development roles. Westerholm has a master’s degree in environmental science from Umeå University and is a senior advisor in sustainability in several different forums.

Why was the role of Group Head of Sustainability created?

Beijer Electronics Group’s products are designed to reduce customers’ climate footprint, and Westerholm will play a vital role in clarifying how the group creates added value for customers while developing the Group’s and the business entities’ sustainability work and reporting. Jenny Sjödahl, President and CEO of Beijer Electronics Group, said that Westerholm’s appointment will contribute to raising their focus and competence in the area.

What will Lena Westerholm’s role entail?

Westerholm will have a shared role as the Group Head of Sustainability at Beijer Electronics Group and member of the Group management, as well as VP Sustainability and member of the management group for the business entity Westermo. In her new role, she will partly contribute to clarifying how the group creates added value for customers and partly develop both the Group’s and the business entities’ sustainability work and sustainability reporting.
